Interesting experiences

Suffice it to say, I have had many interesting experiences since I have arrived here in K'stan. Most have been very enjoyable, and only a few not so pleasant, but everything new and exciting. I was expecting some of the things I have experienced, but some were a little bit surprising. One such experience happened yesterday as the "girls" headed off to the "salon" (I use this term very loosely!). Here we were given the chance to have our eyebrows done the K'rdish way. There were scissors, brushes, tweezers, and thread. It was like nothing I have ever had done before. They start with a dry cream, then do some trimming, then the threading. I am not quite sure exactly how this works, but it certainly does hurt a bit! The feeling is not something that is easy to describe, it feels nothing like waxing or plucking, but it definitly makes your face feel hot. Overall she did a great job (although we now all have very little eyebrow left). Just one more difference and loving every minute of it!

Beginning the process

Let the threading begin.....what a weird feeling
